    Take Back Control
    With This Dynamic And
    Move-Order-Resistant Repertoire

Beware of the 3 move-ordering menaces! With the possible transpositions between 1.d4, 1.c4 and 1.Nf3, even the most natural moves can lead to “out of this world” positions which make no sense…

Or worse, turn into a game of cat and mouse, with White on the prowl.

Why, all of these first moves carry dangerous sidelines in their back pocket…

Like the caveman-like Colle-Zukertort, and the dreaded London System. The English Opening with its many forms. Or the “wait and see” Réti and King’s Indian Attack.

To take things from bad to worse:

Up to 56% of games may start with any of the 3 move-ordering menaces, depending on one’s level. They’re far too dangerous, and far too frequent to improvise against.

Which is why FIDE Master Christoph Kuberczyk built The Hybrid Grünfeld-Slav.

It’s a repertoire for Black which meets 1.d4, 1.c4, and 1.Nf3 with a setup that’s resilient to move order tricks, and all but guarantees a dynamic counterattack. So however and wherever the game transposes…

    You’ll Be Right At Home
    In A Fighting Position With
    Excellent Winning Chances

The airtight center of the Slav fused with the hypermodern pressure of the Grünfeld make up the core of this repertoire.

You’ll reach its ideal formation by first staking your claim in the center with 1…d5, 2…c6, and 3…Nf6. Then, at the right moment, you’ll play for a kingside fianchetto with …g7-g6.

    Grünfeld-Slav
The Grünfeld-Slav is ready to kick butt!

From here, you can whip up a queenside pawn storm with …dxc4 followed by …b7-b5.

Or break through with …e7-e5 and …c6-c5. After which, your g7-bishop transforms into a butcher, hacking through the long diagonal.

    Make no mistake:

The first player will try to muddy the waters.

Take the English, where White can “trick” you into a Caro-Kann on move two. That’s quite a leap from 1.c4 to 1.e4, but the joke’s on them…

Because your counterattack from the flanks will come with full force anyway!

    Caro-Kann transposition
Let White transpose all they want,
we’re hacking their center to bits anyway!

But perhaps the best of all:

Kuberczyk built The Hybrid Grünfeld-Slav for efficient learning and maximum retention.

He poured over 2 years of research into the course — along with every course creation technique he’s picked up as a Chessable publishing manager…

So that you can start playing and winning with the opening in the shortest time possible.

    Here’s a sneak peek:

🎯 3 Progressive levels of learning. With the quickstarter guide and “Important” lines, you’ll build up your mastery of the Grünfeld-Slav minus the overwhelm.

🎯 Encyclopedic coverage. From the most challenging main lines to sneaky side variations popular at the club level.

🎯 A playbook of 16 must-know plans and maneuvers. So you can expertly navigate the opening, even if the game leaves theory.

🎯 43 Model games… which double as “templates” for playing the arising middlegames and endgames like a pro.

🎯 Plus 70 thematic tactics for punishing common mistakes, and scoring quick knockouts.
